A beautiful home in the wonderful village of Aurbeterre Sur Dronne.

Aubeterre is one of the most beautiful villages in France. The village itself is in the shape of an amphitheatre and was a former stronghold. With its beautiful winding streets that are lit at night this is a romantic and quiet place to spend your days. In the southern Charente, Aubeterre sits high up above a bend in the river Dronne.

There are plenty of things to do around Aubeterre, shopping, kayaking, walking, swimming, tennis, cycling, fishing and of course eating out and a few glasses of the local wine!

One of the highlights of the village is our resident puppeteer Keith, who is located right next door to our charming accommodation and puts on shows once or twice a week in both English and French. He also has a puppet museum which children and adults alike love.
